One of the most important casino tricks we can utilize as gamblers is to gamble on the best odds. Sure, you may enjoy online casino slots as I do but in reality slots are not going to give you a nice return. I really hate the odds on slots because they are my poison of choice. There’s nothing like great graphics and an even better bonus round. One thing is for sure, there are great odds that you’ll lose if you play slots.

Is there hope for gamblers? In a word, yes! Games like Blackjack offer a 50-50 chance of winning. Those sound like odds I’m willing to bet on. I’ve learned some tricks along the way when it comes to Blackjack. One of those tricks is to never take insurance.

I have been told that insurance is a bet for suckers. It is not really “insurance” is it?  In reality, it is a little side bet we place that the dealer has Blackjack. When playing Blackjack, insurance is offered when the dealer is showing an Ace. If you want to take insurance, you are required to place fifty percent of your bet on the table.

Insurance is not protection for players. Statistically speaking, there are only 4 cards that make Blackjack. Those are not very good odds for an insurance bet and it is more likely that you will lose money in the long run if you take insurance.

With that in mind, insurance could make sense if you have the ability to count cards and you’re good at it. Card counters my benefit from insurance if used in the right scenario. I cannot count cards nor do I want to try. I can’t quite wrap my head around that whole process. I avoid insurance at all costs. I’ll leave insurance bets to the card counting experts.

A casino tricks fairy would do me some good these days. I am in desperate need of some good luck dust. I allowed myself £50 to play Wild Wolf. IGT has some awesome slots and Wild Wolf is one of my favorites. A howling wolf serves as a wild symbol. This slot game features stacked wilds. The howling sound effect is fun too.

So, I played all 50 lines at £1 per spin. Three bonus symbols awards 5 free spins. I could only hope for a shot at the free spins bonus very early on. As luck would have it, I got the free spins within my first 5 spins. How lucky is that? I love when that happens. Nothing like getting the bonus round or free spins as soon as you begin. It is only a pointless victory when the result is a win of £1.80! Ugh! That is just mean. I have to wonder if the wins are always low when the bonus is triggered that quickly or is it just me. I continued on and hit a few stacked wilds with the black wolf. That was a nice little win. I had my fingers crossed for another round of free spins.

Wild Wolf has two totem pole type symbols that look alike. I always think I’ve got something when the one fly in the ointment is that one of the symbols is not like the others.  It reminds me of a song, it goes something like this:

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn’t belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn’t belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you’re absolutely…right!

Well, my bankroll was almost nonexistent. I had 2 spins left. I won £5 which gave me a few more spins to waste time with. So much for the casino tricks fairy sprinkling me with lucky dust. I think she dropped a bomb on me.

Do feel that it’s a bad omen when you trigger a bonus almost immediately on slots?

Do you think it’s a casino trick when online casinos release new slot games and make them impossible to win on? I have to wonder if they have the ability to tighten up those reels. I receive emails all the time with new slot releases. Whether they are Real Time Gaming, Rival, Playtech or Betsoft it is always the same. The marketing is amazing and it lures me in each and every time. I feel that itch to be one of the first to play it.

I got word from Jackpot Party that they released Blue Lagoon. I logged in right away and gave it a go. It features the WMS Hot Hot Penny feature. It is basically a re-spin. If you get two or more “Feature” symbols on the reels, the reels re-spin allowing the opportunity for land more “Feature” symbols. Three or more “Feature” symbols trigger the feature which involves choosing squares to reveal free spins. You can win up to 36 free spins. Well, it must be nice! I have no idea what it would feel like to hit the bonus on Blue Lagoon.

In the same week, I received an email notification of the release of Tycoons from Betsoft. I logged into my 7 Red account right away. This slot features some very wealthy poker players. There are several bonus opportunities available on this such as free spins with a wild reel, the “Choose a Fortune” pick-me feature and a bonus game. The bonus game requires you to select a favorite tycoon to win the poker hand. I played this slot for I don’t know how long and never saw the bonus game. I could not get it to save my life!

I began to think back to other slot game releases. I played them immediately and have never had luck. Is it me? Is there anyone out there that has experience this pattern of complete and utter loss when it comes to new slot games? Oh and if you happen to see the bonus rounds on either Blue Lagoon or Tycoons, please share a screen shot with me.

Casino tricks come in many forms. I thought I was on to something over the weekend. I opted for some slots at Box24, a Rival online casino. By the way, this is the only acceptable Rival casino out there in my book in terms of fairness and customer service. As soon as Gusher’s Gold loaded and I took my first spin I won $15. I took a few more spins and nothing. I switched games and played Opera Night. My first 5 spins landed me another $10. I thought hmm maybe I am on to my own casino trick. Switching games often may bring me some luck and prove to be a successful slots trick.

This was actually working for the first 4 slot games. I would have a nice little win and switch slot games. My wins began to decrease after a while. My first thought was to go back to where it all began, Gusher’s Gold. If you have never played Gusher’s Gold it has an awesome bonus round. If 3 blonde chicks land on the reels you are awarded free spins but that’s not the best part. It’s actually the bonus game that you really want. The slot is has a Texas oil tycoon type theme. Three bonus symbols trigger the bonus then you start digging for coins. Choose an oil rig and the perfect place to dig to win some nice cash. You are given 3 opportunities to dig. With a bet of $0.60 per spin, I won $40 or so in the bonus round. That’s success to me! At one point I landed 4 bonus symbols on the reels. This increased the value of the coins buried in the ground.

Once I hit the bonus once or twice more, the slot stopped paying out. I figured that I should give things a rest for the day and not press my luck any further.

I sat down at Wild Wolf. Released by IGT, it is the successor of Wolf Run. You can check out the IGT website for the newest releases. Wild Wolf features stacked wilds and free spins. If you’re lucky enough, the free spins can be retriggered. I have a love hate relationship with this slot game. When the wolf is feelin’ frisky, the payout is awesome and when he’s not, it’s not.

I sat down in my favorite spot. I have to have a machine on the end. Whenever possible that’s where I end up. Being sandwiched between people is not my idea of fun. Anyway, I felt the need to have a conversation with my machine prior to inserting any cash. It went something like this conversation between Froto and Sam in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

Frodo: I need you on my side.
Sam: I’m on your side, Mr. Frodo.
Frodo: I know you are, Sam.

I am Froto of course and I need the wolf on my side. I had a good feeling and put in a twenty. At one pound per spin, I was off to a good start.  Almost immediately wild wolves were scattered all over my screen. I was up forty seven bucks! My machine and I were in sync and partners in crime. I spun the night away and left that place with an extra two hundred and fifty pounds in my pocket.

I was once again lured into making a deposit into Jackpot Party.  I just think about those great games and simply can’t resist. That is a casino trick in itself, great games. It will get me every time.

I had luck once at this online casino. That is what has me coming back for more. I haven’t won there in months yet I continue to deposit thinking my day will come again.  Since I last wrote about this WMS casino back in May, I have made several more deposits. It is almost more of a test on my part. As I mentioned before, I was a new player when I had big wins. How long can I actually go without a win? Now this is not me counting on huge wins. I am talking about losing your twenty in no more than five minutes. I can’t even seem to get a little play time.

I have thought that maybe it was my choice of game. I tend to gravitate to Bruce Lee, my favorite slot game. I had major luck on that but now it’s a different story. I have switched up my slot game of choice hoping that this would make a difference. I can’t seem to get things going. I’ve started out with Wizard of Oz and nothing. I’ve started out with Hearts of Venice and nothing. I’ve started out with Golden Hammer and nothing.  Changing up bets and slot games have all resulted in nada. Am I being penalized for my prior wins?

I’m way beyond the angry stage. I am on a mission. You can still read the comments from new players regarding their luck. I don’t intend to waste much money but a ten or twenty here and there in the name of research is fine by me. When will I break the losing streak at Jackpot Party?

One of the most superstitious groups of people has to be the gambler. To many of us there are certain things that we must or must not do when we are playing at online casinos. I have heard of some pretty crazy foolproof casino tricks that gamblers live by.

We have all heard of not letting a black cat cross in front of us or never to walking under a ladder but have you ever heard of covering up part of the reels as they spin or else it is bad luck? Or the finger to click the next spin is vital in bringing good fortune. Use the wrong finger, the wrong hand and you’re doomed to lose the rest of the day.

I have a friend who had a personal casino trick that was quite unique. When she would settle in to play her favorite online casino, it was imperative that her legs were crossed as she played! She commented to me once that if her legs were not crossed while playing, she always lost her bankroll in record timing.

I must admit it was difficult for me to digest that one but then again who really knows. For all we know there could be those gambling fairies looming over head and if we are not clicking the mouse just so or sitting properly then it is curtains for us!

Come to think of it I never do cross my legs when I play. Do you think that is why I have been on such a losing streak lately? Maybe there is some truth to what my friend had to say after all. I wonder if it matters which leg is crossed. I better call her and ask. The minds of a superstitious gambler, see how easily we can be swayed?

Everyone has a trick or two up their sleeves when it comes to gambling and online casinos are no exception. The question being, is there really a fool proof system to beat the online casinos? In a reality the probability is problem slim at best.

The Random Number Generator (RNG) is the determining factor of the next jackpot winner according to theorists. Because of this program that is employed on most online casinos predicting the outcome or system makes it virtually impossible. The combinations on the reels of a slot machine are in the thousands. There is no set pattern as to what the next spin will reveal. The same holds true for Roulette, Blackjack and all the casino games.

There are many players that swear there is a predictable pattern and they can determine when a machine is about to hit. Every player has a different perception of casino tricks. Certain patterns indicate to a player if they are on a so called good machine or a bad one.

One of the most common indicators to a gambler that a jackpot is near is when they are consistently win just enough that their bankroll holds steady. Others believe that once they are down to their very last few credits and a winning spin hits, it’s a definite clue that the machine has finally warmed up and the luck is in their corner. I have been burned my this theory many times. Sometimes I have to be hit with a brick before I get it.

No matter what casino tricks a gambler may have, in the end it all comes down to being at the right place at the right time. A slot machine does not pick nor choose who will be the next winner. It is all about timing and a bit of good luck on your side.

I came across a blog that I enjoyed regarding slots being pure luck. I thought I’d share so feel free to check it out here.
