Don’t we all wish all was fair in love and online casinos? There would be no dirty online casino tricks and the withdrawal process would be simple. In this gambling utopia players are also trust worthy, honest and respectful of fellow players and the casino. And then I woke up.

Withdrawing from an online casino can be a pain in the padded you know what. There are so many rules, regulations and documents that some casino require before cash out. We may not always be aware of all the red tape. Either the casino has done a good job of making things difficult or we just haven’t read the fine print. Hopefully you are only playing at reputable casinos that lay it all out on the table in the terms and conditions.

Believe it or not, there are some gamblers that lie awake nights thinking up ways to cheat the casino instead of trying to win fair and square. Who woulda thunk it? Let’s take the movie Rounders for example. Those guys cheat the house in so many games of Poker it would make your head spin. In the end Edward Norton and Matt Damon find themselves in a heap of trouble.

There are tricks out there to help give players an honest edge. Nothing is fool proof as Mr. Norton now knows. Forums and other online resources were created to help players. Sometimes the most powerful and successful player is a knowledgeable player. Select only the top casinos to spend your money. If you want something in return then you’ll read the terms and research who you’re dealing with.  I think of it like preparing for a boxing match. You always have to size up your opponent. Unfortunately, the same applies when you prepare to take on an online casino.

I actually made a deposit at Cool Cat Casino when I was an online gambling newbie and learned my lesson very quickly. Who were your big mistakes?

Choosing one land based casino over another can mean lucky or unlucky. This is the casino trick used by a friend of mine and by many other folks. Actually, I believe we can all relate. I have chosen to visit one land based or online casino over another based on a feeling or past experience. When we make a choice and win, we tend to believe that it had much to do with choosing the right casino.  Unfortunately, the same goes when we lose. We may think it’s all based on the choice we’ve made.

Once I choose the casino I find myself taking two or three laps around it trying to narrow down an area to play. I have a friend that I can never find in a casino. She likes to play the video poker machines yet she’s never over in that section. We recently went to the casino together. I lost my bankroll with an hour or so and I started looking for her. That’s one thing we do is split up. We both agree that there’s no reason to stick together so we go off and do our own thing. I have been known to walk around a casino four or five times with still no sign of her. I have visions of doing bodily harm then suddenly I spot her. She’s in some random corner of the casino.

If we drill down further, choosing a lucky game is a trick of the trade. When I play a certain slot game and win, I know I’ve made the right choice.  The trick is to pin point the right game. It’s impossible and really comes down to luck. If luck is on our side it doesn’t really matter what we decide to play or where we decide to play it.

After my nice win, it’s seriously difficult to stay away from the casino. Am I on a lucky streak or was it a one-time thing? Would my land based luck carry over to the online casino? I’ve have had to pull some major casino tricks of my own to avoid taking the plunge again.

Diana’s Realm was reeling in my head. I went to dinner near the land based casino last night and my friends were in a gambling mood. I avoided the temptation and caught a cab home.

What are some things to do when you want to spin the night away? I had to research some things to occupy my mind. My friends were gambling and probably hanging out in Diana’s Realm. I fired up my laptop, all the while avoiding the online casino, and googled some things to do. I was obviously bored out of my mind. Here’s some of what I found online at some random site mypage.direct.ca:

Things you can do with absolutely nothing

  1. Push your eyes for interesting light show
    (Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
See a variety of blobs, stars and flashes. Try to make out things-is your subconscious trying to send you a message? Can you control what you see by pressing different areas with different forces? Would it be possible to somehow see the same effects on TV?
  2. See how long you can hold your breath
    (Amusement Potential: 4-20 minutes)
Not that much fun, but it sure passes the time. Play with a friend, or try to beat your own personal best. Some tips: hyperventilate beforehand, and stay as still as possible.
  3. Try to not think about polar bears
    (Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
This is especially hard, because by trying too much, you remember what you were trying to avoid thinking of. If you try too little, you end up thinking about polar bears anyway.

After reading that, I opted to just go to bed with my winnings safe in my wallet.

On this trip to the land based trip my casino trick was to play cheap and exercise some control. I walked in like I owned the place and with nothing more than £25. I left the debit card and remaining cash at home so there was no temptation. Out of sight out of mind I guess. If I won it would be a bonus but I was not about to spend more than that 25 bucks. It is a bit more difficult to control things this way when you are playing at an online casino. Everything is so accessible from home. With the click of a button, I can deposit over and over again if I want to.

Me and my £25 hit the electronic roulette table. It was a nice change but the slots were calling me over as usual. I decided to walk around a bit and stop to grab a drink. A cold drink was nice and all I could hope is that I could win some cash or at least have some play time to make the trip worthwhile.

I circled the slot machines two or three times before claiming a machine. I held my breath as I sat down at Diana’s Realm. This slot game has a very green forest type theme. The goal for me was to hit the free spin bonus very early on. If the reels didn’t pay, I may be able to depend on a nice win from the free spins. I set my bet for £1 per spin. 5 spins later I was already down but I continued on. Gambling is a gamble isn’t it?

I looked away for just a moment and I could hear the bonus symbols hit the pay lines. I got 10 free games. I kid you not, the free spins retriggered 4 more times giving me 50 free spins in total! After my fiftieth free spin, I walked out the door £450 richer.

What luck! Have you managed to luck out at the last minute? What game revived your bankroll?

One casino trick that I follow religiously is to test out slot games in fun mode before I spend my cash. Choose software that you love and choose an online casino that offers fun play. When it comes to online bingo, I happen to like Gamesys software. They have some great slot games. Sun Bingo allows players to demo their slots. I always go there to try them out.

Zuma is a popular slot among us bingo players. The absolute goal is to get 3 frogs to trigger the bonus round. The bonus is amazing and has great pay outs. Fun play is available so this is definitely one to check out. There is chat along the right hand side of the Sun Bingo website as you play. A large majority of the players are chit chatting about Zuma. They all want the frogs. It’s the same at Jackpotjoy. When the frogs hit the reels, you hear ZUMA. When I hear ZUMA ZUMA ZUMA my heart is in my throat.

I am definitely thankful for Fun Play when it comes to slots that I really don’t like. There are actually a few Gamesys slots that I don’t like.  For example, Poochie Slots is bland and has no bonus game.  The pups are cute but it ends there. Mystic Meg has not made a fan out of me. I can’t win with Meg. Deal or No Deal is fun and I like the concept but not the slot. In my experience, the reels don’t pay out. The bonuses offered haven’t been too good to me either.

Thank God for fun mode. I have learned so much about the slots I play without having to make a deposit. Once I have tried them all and choose my favorites, it is time to gamble!

Where do you go to test out slot games?

Being a gambler means not being afraid to take risks. Though we may have our favorite online casino games we like to explore in uncharted waters for a new and exciting action from time to time.

There are endless types of games offered at an online casino. Everything from skill games, cards, table games, arcade and even unique games like Keno and Scratch Cards. As we consider getting our feet wet we look to find casino tricks to give us a better edge of winning.

There are a couple of places to prepare yourself for taking on new online casino games. One is to search gambling forums and ask for some good casino tips. There are usually many players that are more than happy to offer some advice and their favorite casino tricks. Some of the best seasoned online casino players are found there. I have gotten many good tips and have used them to this day.

The other way is to play in free mode and develop your own system and style of playing. This too is frequently found on casino forums. Players can practice with different betting techniques as well as learn the art of the game with no expense to them.

Most common questions refer to the games like Craps, Baccarat, Pai Gow, Red Dog, Sic Bo where learning the game takes research and mastering the casino tricks takes patience through trial and error.

Every player is ready to offer their own expertise on a game. But to really master it, players need to implement their own style that has been taken by advice of others. It is important to feel comfortable which leads to a confident winning gambler. Practice, ask questions and before you know it, you’ll be offering a few casino tricks of your own.

I typically do not take bonuses when it comes to the online casino but we all have weak moments. In a fit of boredom, I found a No Deposit Bonus for Aladdins Gold Casino. At $50 who could resist? Aladdins Gold is powered by none other than the all mighty RTG. RTG is one of my favorite casino software providers even though every slot is exactly the same with different graphics. I mean the sounds are the same and the bonuses are basically the same.

With 50 bucks I should be occupied for about…… 5 minutes. Loose Caboose is always a starting point for me at RTG casinos. That is definitely one of my casino tricks. I can always count on some steady play on that slot game and sometimes, I’m lucky, it beefs up my bankroll. The bonus symbols were teasing me. I ran to the kitchen and switched on autoplay. I kept hearing that classic RTG sound when a bonus symbol lands on the reels. Each time I heard it, I ran back to check it out. After about 4 trips back and forth I was no closer to getting that cup of coffee. I finally got triggered the free spin bonus and forgot all about the coffee.  The conductor serves at the Wild symbols but when the free spins are in progress you get additional wild symbols. That is really what attracts me to this slot game.

I was down only about $10 so I moved on to another slot game. I bounced around Aladdins Gold Casino like a rubber ball. I just couldn’t pull off anything significant. I was so close to making the play through for cash out yet so far. The play through was only 40x which is very good in my book.

What do you consider to be a good play through?

“I know a guy at the casino who won’t gamble. He just watches the games and makes mental bets. Last week, he lost his mind.”

That’s about as funny as some of these casino tricks applicable to online casinos courtesy of casinolaunchpad.com.

“Always remember to claim every deposit bonus that you can. You’ll get some easily, and others not quite so easily, but unless you clam them, you’ll never be in the running to get them.”

Um, ya got that?

“Don’t keep any cards in a video poker hand that does not have anything that pays out. The worst you can do is get another five cards that don’t pay out, and you’re just as well off as you were before.”

This is extremely enlightening. Are there actually any you that didn’t realize that you should dump the bad cards?

“When you win a bit, put that away and save it for later.”

Well, now I am definitely armed with the ultimate bag of tricks!

Maybe the truth is that there are no tricks to gambling and winning. Most gambling tips out there are really common sense. Maybe the truth is that it is up to us to be smart gamblers. It may initially sound silly to give a tip of saving what you win but in reality it is the best tip we can be given.

What is it that provokes us to keep going when we win? Any win is a bonus but we always want more. The excitement is what attracts me. There’s nothing like the lights and glitz of the slots or the thrill of the roulette table. I want to stay in that moment for as long as I can. Winning just gives me more time to play and have a good time.

What prevents you from hitting the “cash out” button?
